Therapy in Barkingside

Room 1 in the Therapeast Therapy Centre, Barkingside

TherapEast, 113c High Street, Barkingside, IG6 2AH

As a teenage school pupil in Barkingside, I never dreamed I’d be returning here 50 years later as a therapist! In some ways its surprising how little has changed. Shops in the High Street have come and gone, but most of the old landmarks are still there; at one end Fullwell Cross Library and swimming baths (Leisure Centre now, of course), and at the other end, The Chequers pub, where I worked as a barman in the 1980’s.

Barkingside’s new therapy centre

So I was delighted to hear from my colleague, Katie Rose, that she was opening a new therapy centre; “TherapEast”, in Barkingside High Street, directly above Costa Coffee. It really is a lovely place, with well appointed rooms, comfy chairs and sofas, and air-con in every room.
